The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says a discrepancy has been cleared with the Department of Health Services website on whether there is community spread of the coronavirus in Fond du Lac County. Kim Mueller says she was surprised that the state website indicated there was community spread locally, because that was not her understanding. Community spread is defined as one or more cases not linked to a positive case. Mueller says she has confirmed with DHS that as of today Fond du Lac County does not meet that definition, and so therefore there is not community spread in Fond du lac. Meanwhile Mueller says Fond du Lac County still has 17 positive cases, because the 18th case reported by the state is a county resident who lives in Florida during the winter and contracted the virus there.
