A major Fond du Lac road reconstruction project starts Monday. The intersections of National Avenue, Fond du Lac Avenue, Rienzi Road, and County Road V will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, March 30 for reconstruction. The closure will be in place to relocate the water main, storm sewer and reconstruction of the intersection including a roundabout. Following the water main relocation, work will start on the remaining portions of the project. That will include storm sewer, grading, curb and gutter, sidewalk, street lighting, asphalt paving and restoration. This project is scheduled for completion in October. A signed detour will follow Pioneer Road, Martin Avenue, and Ninth Street.
