It was a different look over the Memorial Day holiday weekend at the Dodge County Fairgrounds and the events that follow this year during the coronavirus pandemic. The vendor fair was lined with unique items and collectibles and socially-distanced visitors – something that has not been observed for weeks in Beaver Dam or anywhere else. While the community attempts to navigate a “new normal” as Wisconsin transitions out of the safer-at-home-order, organizers were closely following recommendations made by Dodge County Public Health. Visitors were allowed to browse vendor booths both indoors and outdoors and were suggested to wear face coverings to protect themselves and others. Shoppers and vendors were encouraged to stay home if they feel ill.
