6-3-20 fdl’s marian university cuts programs, staff due to covid-19

Fond du Lac’s Marian University has cut a number of programs and staff to prepare for a budget shortfall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.   The University  has announced it is cutting its Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration and Leadership, Master of Arts in Education,  Bachelor of Arts in Music, Music Industry, Minor in Art History and Minor in Studio Art.   Faculty positions associated with these programs have also been eliminated along with six staff positions within the university.   Acting president Michelle Majewski says the moves are being made in anticipation of an anticipated decrease in enrollment and financial impact associated with public health measures to bring  students, faculty and staff back on campus.
