7-13-20 fdl county public health officer says entire families are testing positive for covid-19

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says entire families are testing positive for COVID-19.   Double digit cases were reported over a three day stretch last week, and nine cases were reported on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the county to 376.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says many of the new cases can be attributed to gatherings over the July Fourth holiday.  “We are noticing a lot of people testing positive are entire families,”  Mueller told WFDL news.   “You would anticipate or expect that these families would test positive because we know the high infectious rate in a family is much more likely than if you were out and about somewhere else for shorter periods of time.”
