Republican state senator Rick Gudex of Fond du Lac says a right to work bill will have little or no impact if unions are doing their job. Gudex voted in favor of the bill this week. Gudex says he totally disagrees with opponents who say the measure will drive down family wages. “What this comes down to for me is that this bill does nothing to strip the unions of their ability to function,” Gudex told WFDL news. “They’ll be able to organize and actively seek members. The only change this bill does is it gives people who don’t want to be part of the union the option not to be part of the union.” Gudex says unions may have to work a little harder to keep their members. He syas if unions are doing what they’re supposed to be doing for their members he doesn’t see a change.
