A Fond du Lac man is in custody following an apparent attempted residential burglary. Shortly before 9:30pm Friday police officers were called to a residence on Morris St after a caller reported two 2 males smash out windows on the home and possibly enter. The caller stated he believed one of the male subjects was armed. Officers searched the Morris St residence and did not locate anyone inside. While investigating this incident officers attempted to stop a male subject who was in the area for questioning. The male subject fled on foot and was taken into custody at a residence on Elm St. He is currently being held on a probation hold and will likely be facing additional charges as the incident remains under active investigation
