MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Firefighters have extinguished a blaze that forced an evacuation at a University of Wisconsin-Madison student union. UW Police spokesman Marc Lovicott says the Madison Fire Department got a call of a fire at the Memorial Union on Thursday afternoon. Madison Fire Department spokeswoman Cynthia Schuster says the cause of the fire is under investigation. She says she’s not sure when people will be allowed back inside but there’s no indication the union will have to close overnight.
