Great 98 Account Executive

The Great 98 (WMDC 98.7 fm) is seeking an Account Executive who enjoys:

The Great 98 is part of Radio Plus, Inc. Sister stations include Sunny 97.7 fm in Fond du Lac, The Rock 96.1 fm in Fond du Lac, and The Source AM1170 in Waupun. Our group reaches thousands of people every day! Our local information updates and varying music formats target audiences from ages 25 – 75 in Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Washington Counties.


Our Account Executives are directly responsible for developing new business accounts and growing revenue for existing accounts.  The goal is to find opportunities and turn them into long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction by offering solutions that help clients achieve their business goals; while meeting or exceeding their sales goals. We offer great audiences for any potential advertiser.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Prospect new advertising business opportunities that are not currently being seen
  • Cultivate a professional relationship with current Clients
  • Proactively develop customized advertising campaigns to meet client objectives
  • Present approved presentations to current and potential Clients
  • Sell advertising air time to current and potential Clients
  • Create commercial scripts to accomplish the Client’s objective
  • Follow all station procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, and submitting weekly reports

  • The drive to excel at prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals or other means to build and maintain a list of prospects that have not been reached by other AEs
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Previous sales experience preferred, but not necessary
  • A valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
