Fond du Lac County officials are taking steps to try to help businesses impacted by the coronavirus. The Fond du Lac County Finance committee has approved offering disaster microloans for up to 40 businesses on a first-come, first-serve basis. County executive Al Buechel says any Fond du Lac County business that was forced to shut down or curtail business because of the COVID-19 restrictions would be eligible to apply. The loan would be capped at $5000 with a 30 month repayment at one percent interest. Buechel says the loan program will be administered through Envision Greater Fond du Lac and Capital Resources.
