4-28-20 new fdl county covid-19 task force

The new president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says a new COVID-19 task force is not looking to reopen Fond du Lac businesses until a Safer at Home order is lifted.   Sadie Parafiniuk says the task force wants to develop a plan so when the Safer at Home order is lifted, local businesses have a plan and know what to do.  “We want to ensure that we are following public health considerations, following any of the governor’s orders,”  Parafiniuk  told WFDL news.  “The Task Force is not being assembled to overstep or reach around the governor or the president’s orders of the Safer at Home.”  Parafiniuk says when Fond du Lac County gets the okay from the governor and Fond du Lac County Public Health says we’re ready, the task force wants to provide the steps and guidelines for businesses to be able to reopen safely.  The task force held it’s first meeting Friday.  Governor Evers extended the Safer at Home Order through May 26, and later announced his Badger Bounce Back plan outlining the criteria for reopening the state including a two week decline in COVID-19 cases, increased testing, contact tracing and personal protective equipment.
