8-21-20 baldwin says wisconsin residents need to vote

Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin says Wisconsin residents need to get out and vote in November in order to oust president Donald Trump.  Baldwin says Democrats are focused on making sure Wisconsin voters turn out and not get subdued by the chaos  that has gone on during the pandemic.  Baldwin says the president’s failed leadership during the pandemic has made the problem worse.  “…not blaming the president for the coronavirus, but the type of robust response that would have been heralded in by any other president that we’ve ever had and wasn’t by this president, it is an utter failure of leadership and I think it needs to be called out,”  Baldwin told AM 1170s’ Between the Lines program.  Responding to criticism from president Trump and vice president Pence, that Democrats held their convention virtually and that Biden has not campaigned in person in Wisconsin.  ” A convention brings together tens of thousands of people and I respect the Democratic party and Vice President Biden for for putting Wisconsinites’ health and safety and security above all, and not holding photo ops that endanger people, ”  Baldwin said.
