Twenty-five new COVID-19 cases have pushed Fond du Lac County over the one-thousand mark for total positive cases. Since the pandemic began there have been 1,018 positive cases in the county. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says cases have shot up in the last couple of weeks as more people with symptoms have come in to get tested. Mueller says 10 people are hospitalized and there are 315 active cases. Mueller says there has not been virus spread in businesses that have plans in place and she doesn’t anticipate spread in schools because they have good mitigation strategies. Mueller says spreading of the virus is occurring in social gatherings where people are not wearing masks or social distancing.
