St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac went to virtual learning Friday after a high school sophomore tested positive for COVID-19. System president Stacey Akey says due to the short timeframe, being alerted late Thursday evening, the decision was made to be extra cautious and implement virtual learning for high school students Friday “to allow the time necessary to ensure our protocol is flawless.” Akey says classes will resume in-person on Tuesday, September 8 and those who were in close contact with the positive case will be resuming classes virtually as the plan outlines.
