A Democratic lawmaker from Milwaukee says white supremacists are to blame for much of the violence and unrest in Kenosha following the shooting of Jacob Blake. Blake, a black man, was shot seven times in the back by a white police officer August 23. Two days later a 17 year old from Illinois shot and killed two protesters. State representative David Bowen describes groups of white supremacists coming across state borders to hunt protesters who were not posing a violent threat. “They’re very much focused on targeting the folks who are out there advocating for change,” Bowen told AM 1170s Between the Lines program. Bowen says since the shooting the Kenosha police department has been showing their biases.
