The Fond du Lac city council this week will consider a binding agreement for an alternate Lakeside Park master plan that includes a restaurant and amphitheater at the park. City manager Joe Moore says the agreement would bind the city of Fond du Lac and the business group Lakeside Forward by contract if a feasibility study gives a favorable recommendation to the plan. Moore says his recommendation would be for the city council to “take a step back” and hold off on approving the proposed agreement, because the city hasn’t been a part of drafting the agreement. “My recommendation would be that we look at this binding agreement and step back and make sure the city’s interests are adequately addressed in that agreement,” Moore told WFDL news. The council will consider the measure at their Wednesday meeting.
