Fond du Lac Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says he opposes the governor’s extension of a statewide mask mandate. Thiesfeldt says he believes the order is against the law. Thiesfeldt says statistics show that Wisconsin’s mask mandate has been ineffective in controlling the spread of the virus. Thiesfeldt describes the governor’s action as “executive tyranny and lawless overreach.” The governor and public health officials say people need to wear masks to prevent spread of the virus and need to take the mandate seriously.
