10-9-20 coast to coast rosary

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep across the globe,  with racial tensions boiling over in many communities, and continued economic uncertainty for many,  devoted Catholics are uniting in prayer this month.  Rosary Coast to Coast will be anchored by the National Rosary Rally in front of the U.S. Capitol and in Fond du Lac a Eurcharistic procession with a Coast to Coast Rosary Rally is planned for this weekend.  Julie Petersen with the Fond du Lac Holy Family Catholic Community says the events of this year have left many people in despair.  “This is a crazy time that we live in and we see it everywhere,”  Petersen told WFDL news.  Petersen says the pandemic and general division in the country has also tested people of faith.  “The pandemic and sickness that’s around and the economic problems, so many families are struggling.  Yeah, our faith is tested.”   In Fond du Lac the walk will start at 1:15pm Sunday at St. Mary’s Church on East Merrill Street, ending at Veterans Park, followed by the rosary at 1:45pm.
