10-20-20 public school enrollment down

Like many public schools across the state the Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac School Districts have fewer students this school year.   State education officials announced last week that enrollment at public schools in Wisconsin has dropped three percent this year.  Fond  du lac school district superintendent Sharon Simon says the district is down students.  “We’ve lost some students to the private schools as well as virtual and home school,”  Simon told WFDL news.  North Fond du Lac superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the district is down about 17 students this school year.  Sadoff says many of those students moved out of the district, but he says the district is up in open enrollment so overall the district is down less than one percent, and will actually be getting more revenue.
