Governor Tony Evers will deliver a statewide address tonight calling for unity and working together in the fight against COVID-19. Excerpts from the governor’s remarks, cite The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation estimates that 5,000 Wisconsinites could be lost to COVID-19 by January first if no further actions are taken to get the virus under control. The governor says “each day the virus goes unchecked is a setback for economic recovery.” He says bars, restaurants, small businesses, families and farmers will continue to suffer if action isn’t taken now. The governor’s address will be live streamed on the governor’s YouTube and Facebook accounts starting at 6:05pm.
