12-22-20 republican state representative thiesfeldt encourages schools to return to in-class instruction

Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt of Fond du Lac is urging school districts to return to full in-class instruction after the first of the year.  The chair of the Assembly committee on education says the widespread, long-term closures of school buildings since March has been the “poorest government decisions of the pandemic.”   Thiesfeldt says the decision not to have in-class instruction during the pandemic  will be impacting some students for a lifetime.  Thiesfeldt says there are strong indications that children are largely spared the impact that COVID-19 has on adults.  Thiesfeld says he encourages governor Evers to consider the classification of school personnel so they have the option of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination in a timely manner.
