The interim Fond du Lac School superintendent says the public will have input on the hiring of the next superintendent. Parents, students, staff and the community can participate in an online survey on the school district website through January 24, along with focus group Zoom meetings. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says it will help a consultant create a leadership profile of the characteristics being sought in the next superintendent. Simon says the search process is officially underway. “The position is posted on several websites in the state for people looking to be a superintendent,” Simon told WFDL news. “If they (consultant) feel somebody is a good fit, because they do a lot of these searches, they will also head-hunt people they think would be an appropriate fit for the school district.” The goal is to have a new superintendent on board by the end of the school year.
