The Fond du Lac Agnesian HealthCare Foundation has received one of its largest gifts from a single donor after receiving an estate gift from Beatrice Eiring, a former employee and volunteer at St. Agnes Hospital. The more than $539,000 gift has been directed to the Foundation’s hospice fund. The estate gift was designated for the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation by Eiring who passed away at the age of 92 in October 2014. Eiring was employed at St. Agnes Hospital for many years as an information desk clerk and also served as a volunteer logging more than 2,250 hours.
“We are extremely grateful that Beatrice thought of St. Agnes Hospital and the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation as she was reviewing giving options,” according to Shawn Fisher, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “We are blessed to live in a community that so strongly believes in its local hospital, and understands that by providing their financial support, we can work together to grow our services and meet the health and wellness needs of those individuals and families we serve now, and well into the future.”
