Mike Shannon, Sr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Holiday Automotive, has announced the following leadership changes within the organization effective February 1st,
2021. Current company president Thor Gilbertson will be promoted to the position of CEO. Gilbertson joined Holiday six years ago and has over 30 years of leadership experience in the transportation industry. He is a Fond du Lac resident and graduate of UW Madison’s School of Business. Michael Shannon, Jr., currently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, is being promoted to the position of company President and remains as COO. Shannon, Jr., has served in various capacities within the organization since joining the company in 2004 after his graduation from St. Norbert College in DePere. Rounding out the executive leadership team at Holiday is Bill Agnew, Executive Vice President; Scott Basler, Chief Financial Officer, and William Beyer, Vice President of Service and Customer Care. Mike Shannon, Sr. will continue to fulfill the role of Chairman. Holiday Automotive is a full-service family-owned dealership based in Fond du Lac. Founded in 1959, the company currently employs 350 team members and is a recognized leader in Wisconsin for new, used and certified pre-owned vehicle sales and exceptional customer care.
