An Appleton man is in custody following a chase in Fond du Lac County early Monday morning that started following a traffic stop in Neenah. The vehicle was traveling around 25 miles an hour on Interstate 41 when it entered Fond du Lac County after it ran over a tire deflation device, but continued south before it was eventually stopped near County Highway F. The driver and lone occupant, a 31-year-old Appleton man, was taken into custody without further incident. He is facing charges of Felony Eluding, Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Operate While Under the Influence. The pursuit spanned a total distance of 18.5 miles. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol during the incident. No injuries were reported during the course of the pursuit.
