7-23-21 infrastructure package

A retired Ripon College economist says he thinks a vote could take place as early as next week on a bipartisan infrastructure deal that senators brokered with president Joe Biden.  But economist Paul Schoofs says pressure is mounting as supports insist they just need more time before another vote, possibly next week.  “I think it’s probably still in the works,”  Schoofs told AM 1170’s Between The Lines progroam.  “…more than anything I think this was some gamesmanship on the part of senator Schumer leading the Democratic side wanting to pin the Republican group to commit to it.”  Negotiators have been meeting around the clock this week to try to reach a final agreement.
