Work is into the home stretch on several majory highway projects in Fond du Lac County. Highway commissioner Tom Janke says crews are finishing up work this week on County Highway V from County Highway B to Reinhardt Road. Widening state Highway 23 to four lanes in Fond du Lac County is on schedule to be completed later this fall. Janke says several major reconstruction projects are now complete including Pioneer Road from Military Road to North Fond du Lac. Janke says another project on Highway SS from Highway 45 to Highway 67 will be the last major paving project of the season. Janke says the second phase of reconstructing Highway SS will be one of the main projects for next year. Another project planned for next year involves reconstructing Highway B from Eden west to Highway 175.
