9-14-14 wisconsin voter id

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin officials have until Tuesday to respond to a request that a federal appeals court reconsider its decision to reinstate a requirement that voters show photo identification at the polls.  The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals set the deadline to respond on Wednesday, hours after opponents of the law asked for a new hearing.  Last week a three-judge panel on the appeals court allowed for reinstatement of the law, so voters will have to present photo identification on Nov. 4. The American Civil Liberties Union and the Advancement Project are now asking that the entire 7th Circuit reconsider the case.  The court rarely grants such requests.  Gov. Scott Walker says even if the full court reconsiders the case he expects it will reach the same conclusion.
