An Illinois man has been charged in connection with a high speed chase in Fond du Lac over the weekend. Delaney Watt made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Tuesday on charges of eluding an officer. Judge Gary Sharpe ordered a $500 cash bond. Fond du lac County sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says the chase occurred Saturday night when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Lakeshore Drive near Lakeside Park West. Olig says Delaney’s vehicle accelerated in Lakeside Park west near the boat landing, turned around and continued into the city of Fond du lac where it hit a house at the corner of Doty and McWilliams Streets. Delaney was apprehended following a short foot chase.
