The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says the jury is still out on the full impact of the EV D68 virus. More than 500 cases have been confirmed in the United States and five confirmed cases in Wisconsin. Children with breathing problems such as asthma have been hit the hardest. Fond du lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says she’s not sure if it will get worse before it gets better. “Its hard to say if its actually getting worse because people are more aware of it,” Mueller told WFDL news. Meanwhile Mueller says the confirmed Ebola virus case in Texas points the importance of making sure hospitals in Wisconsin are informed.
