The Fond du lac city council is being asked to assist with the redevelopment of property in downtown Fond du lac to help Marian University relocate its nursing school downtown. The council will consider a resolution authorizing up to $255,000 to cover a potential funding gap for the project. Marian has an option to purchase the property at 30 South Main Street. Community Development Director Diane Benson says AC Nielson would continue to occupy one floor of the building. Benson says the office space and nursing school would bring an estimated 400 to 500 people to the downtown by 2016.
