3-13-15 cemetery trust-milwaukee archdiocese

The Midwest Director of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests says an appeals court ruling this week is a major victory for clergy sexual abuse victims.  An appeals court ruled that a $55 million cemetery trust fund is fair game in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee bankruptcy case.  SNAP Midwest Director Peter Isely says victims and their families are encouraged by the court ruling.  Isely says the ruling could have major consequences for former Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan  and the Vatican.  Isely says the court  can now determine if the trust was fraudulently created by Dolan and the Vatican before the Archdiocese declared bankruptcy four years ago.  Isely made the comments on AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.
