Fond du Lac police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of a local motel. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the Microtel Motel on South Military Road was robbed at gunpoint shortly after 2pm Sunday. Police received a report that a male entered the hotel and demanded cash from the register after he displayed a black handgun. After the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot out the front door and ran to the northwest. The area was searched with a Fond du Lac Police Department K-9 Unit, but the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a white male (possibly in his twenties), thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants and sunglasses. No one was injured during this incident.
