The Fond du Lac city council will discuss what to do about a vacancy on council when they meet Tuesday night. Brian Foster stepped down effective at the end of the last council meeting earlier this month. The council can decide whether to accept applications and fill the vacancy or leave the position open until the April election next year. In the past the council has appointed someone to fill vacancies.
