3-22-18 high speed chases

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in two high speed chases Thursday morning.  The second chase began shortly before 10am when a sheriff’s deputy stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 151 near Dehring Road.  Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says the chase continued on 151 and Highway D at speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour.  Waldschmidt says the suspect vehicle avoided stop sticks that had been placed in the road and the chase was terminated before it entered the village of Oakfield.   The first chase happened at about 1:30am  Thursday when a sheriff’s deputy  attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 41 at CTH N in the town of Eldorado.  The vehicle fled northbound reaching speeds of 115 miles an hour.    That chase was terminated when the vehicle exited at 9th Avenue in Oshkosh.
