9-27-14 back to afghanistan

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students are including a 48-year-old soldier in a class blog dedicated to telling the stories of local residents.  U.S. Army Master Sergeant Buss Wood Jr. spoke to students who run the Humans of Oshkosh site before he left for his third deployment to the Middle East.  They will include his story in an off-shoot called the Humans of Oshkosh Veterans Story Project.  Wood was a member of the Army Reserve for 17 years with a job in network security. He has been stationed in Germany and Italy in between service in Honduras, Iraq and Afghanistan.  During a one-year deployment to Afghanistan in 2010, Wood was severely injured by grenade shrapnel but rejoined his unit to finish the tour several weeks later.  Wood will return to Afghanistan in October.
