Fond du Lac police responded to two incidents involving armed suicidal subjects and both incidents ended peacefully without any shots fired. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the first incident occurred Friday morning when a man entered the Sky Nails Salon, near the Festival Foods Grocery store. “Apparently the subject had a gun and was making threats to harm some family members and also to harm himself,” Klein told WFDL news. Klein says the 19 year old man was eventually taken into custody at gunpoint. Klein says over the noon hour police blocked off a portion of South Main Steet after receiving a report of a despondant man in a residence on the west side of South Main…just south of 15th Street. Klein says the subject was taken into protective custody around 2pm Friday. “We were able to take the subject into custody without further incident,” Klein said. “He was transported to a local medical facility and is in protective custody.”
