The North Fond du Lac police chief says a new report that lists the village as one of the top 50 safest cities in the state is a testament to the residents of the community. The National Council for Home Safety and security report ranks North Fond du Lac the 29th safest city in Wisconsin. Police chief Darren Pautsch says the rankings show that village residents care about their community. The list was compiled by reviewing the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Reporting statistics.
