A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper is dead after an early morning single vehicle crash.
The incident occurred around 4:30 Tuesday morning along Interstate 90/94 in Sauk County.
A preliminary investigation shows the Trooper lost control of his cruiser while traveling eastbound, entered the south ditch and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the Trooper is not being released pending notification of his family.
