9-28-17 homeless man rescued from fdl river

A homeless man escaped injury after being rescued from the Fond du Lac River.  Fire chief Pete O’Leary says fire rescue personnel pulled the man to safety on the river near Forest Avenue and Macy Street last night.   “There was a man in his 30s in the water and not able to get himself out,”  O’Leary told WFDL news.  O’Leary says the man was able to grab onto the side of the Fire Department Rescue boat and get to shore.  O’Leary says the man was wet and cold but otherwise okay.
