3-20-18 fdl high school football star participating in all star charity game

A Fond du Lac High School star football player has been selected to participate in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Charity football game.    Defensive end Garret Sphatt was one of several players from across the state nominated by their coach to play in the game.   In return the players have to raise at least $750 in funds for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Sphatt’s goal is $5000.    “I  know myself and a lot of people in the community have been affected by Children’s Hospital and they’ve done a lot of great things for this community,”  Sphatt told WFDL news.  Sara Montonati with the Children’s Hospital Foundation says you can make a donation on behalf of Garrett  by logging on to the Children’s Hospital-Charity football game website.   “They have a button on their home page that says find a player.  You can click on that button and click in Garret’s name and it will take you to his personal fundraising page.”   Montonati says  last year’s game raised more than $400,000.  The game is scheduled for July 21 at Titan Stadium on the UW-Oshkosh campus.
