The American Red Cross Wisconsin Chapter says there is an emergency need for blood donations. Red Cross spokeswoman Laura McGuire says the Red Cross is reissuing its emergency call for blood and platelet donors to give now after multiple snow storms, and frigid temperatures last week that canceled blood drives. McGuire says Red Cross blood donations are being distributed to hospitals faster than they are coming in.
