The Fond du Lac city council is amending the city’s workplace smoke ban to include e-cigarettes. Tobacco Prevention and Control Program coordinator with the Fond du Lac County Health Department, Sandy Bernier, says there are still unanswered questions about e-cigarette safety and the effects of second hand vapor. “My reaction is I think they (council) understand the public health issue and the need to have safe, clean air for everyone,” Bernier told WFDL news. Five years ago the Fond du Lac County Board voted to ban e-cigarettes from the Fond du Lac City-County Government Center.
