The general manager of the Fond du lac Dock Spiders says he is excited that there will be a baseball season. The Northwoods League announced last week that an abbreviated season will start July first. Dock Spiders GM Chris Ward says the season will start next month and run through August 20 followed by a two day playoff series. “Extremely excited,” Ward told WFDL news. “We’re looking forward to having everyone back out to the ballpark in a safe manner and kind of getting back to some norlmacy.” Ward says new guidelines will ensure the safety of all fans, staff and players at Herr-Baker Field. Tickets go on sale this week.
