Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged the front porch stairs of a Fond du Lac residence. Shortly before 4:30am Thursday Fond du Lac firefighters were called to a report of a porch on fire at 18 Everett Street. Upon arrival crews found a small fire burning which had burned through part of the newly constructed wood stairs leading up to front porch. The fire caused moderate damage to the staircase. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
