The Fond du Lac School Board president says he’s bringing the issue of an artificial turf football field back for discussion because there is still public interest. The school board this week tabled action on a feasibility study until their next meeting. Board president Mark Jurgella says since the board voted a year and a half ago to reject the idea, there are three new board members, and the football team just completed a spring season where they couldn’t play a home football game. “That also made it difficult for some of our other sports,” Jurgella told WFDL news. “The idea of putting turf , even if it’s for practice use at the High School, would put that in play almost all day, every day.”
