A Milwaukee man is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. The chase started shortly after 1am Friday when a Sheriff’s deputy attempted a trafffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 41 northbound at Johnson Street. The Sheriff’s Office learned the vehicle had earlier been involved in a separate pursuit with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The chase ended when the vehicle ran over stop sticks placed on the interstate near County Highway N. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted shutting down northbound I-41 for a brief period.. The driver and lone occupant was taken into custody without further incident. The 39-year-old Milwaukee man is facing a felony charge for fleeing eluding in addition to receiving multiple traffic citations.
