An ad hoc committee has been formed to plan a Centennial Rededication Ceremony for the historic Recording Angel sculpture in Waupun. Mayor Rohn Bishop says the Recording Angel was donated to Waupun by Clarence Shaler in October 1923 and placed at his wife’s grave, overlooking the Forest Mound Cemetery. Bishop says a rededication ceremony is a proper way to honor the sculpture’s 100 years.
