The Fond du Lac County District Attorneys Office is recognizing National Crime Victims Week with a display on the first floor lobby of the city-county government building. District Attorney Eric Toney says the constitutional amendment known as “Marsy’s Law” expanded crime victim rights and helped level the playing field between defendants and crime victims. Toney says it’s important to recognize the impact crimes have on victims and survivors and educate the public on the rights they have as a crime victim.
