5-26-23 aaa will rescue more than 483,000 motorists over memorial day holiday weekend

Over 700,000 Wisconsinites are forecast to take a road trip for the Memorial Day weekend, and unfortunately thousands of them will experience car trouble.  Nationwide, AAA expects to rescue more than 483,000 stranded motorists during the holiday weekend.  State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says the three most common reasons are flat tires, dead batteries, and lockouts.   Jarmusz says a properly maintained vehicle is critical for a successful and safe road trip.  If you do have car trouble,  AAA advises to pull as far over on the shoulder as safely as possible,  turn your hazard lights on, call for assistance and remain with your vehicle.
